Our insect control services will help control the most damaging and harmful insects that commonly effect our areas turfgrasses.
Insect control applications are timed through-out the year to give your lawn year long protection against turf damaging insects such as mole crickets, fire ants, grubs, and army worm in addition to protection from biting fire ants.
These white c-shaped larvae of various beetles feed on the roots of a lawn. Irregular turf wilting and browning could be a symptom of grubs in your soil. More than five of these bugs in a square foot of soil is generally cause for concern and should be addressed.
Fire ants can cause unsightly turf damage in extensive tunnels and mounds. These ants also pose a potential health risk to pets and even humans in their venomous bites which can cause allergic reactions. A disturbed ant mound will respond with an attack from the colony by swarming and biting.
Signs of mole crickets include areas of raised turf in tunnel formations. When mole crickets are left untreated turf damage can occur from root destruction via eating as well as the separation of turf and soil from tunneling.
Army worms typically do the most damage in the late summer or early fall. Signs of army worm damage include small circular areas in the lawn that appear chewed and faded brown. As the army worm grows so does its appetite. If unchecked this army worm can damage a lawn close to winter dormancy which can leave the lawn stressed with bare spots in the spring.
